About JEE Main 2027
JEE Main is India's largest engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to NITs, IIITs, Government Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs), and hundreds of private engineering colleges across India.
The exam is conducted twice a year in two sessions — January and April. Students can appear in either or both sessions, with the best score considered for ranking. This gives students two opportunities to improve their scores.
JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
For Bihar students, JEE Main scores are accepted by all major private engineering colleges partnered with Career Villa, including Sharda University, Bennett University, LPU, and many more.
