About FMGE 2027
FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduates Examination) is a screening test for Indian citizens who have completed their MBBS abroad and wish to practice medicine in India. It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBEMS) twice a year.
This exam is extremely important for students who choose to study MBBS abroad (Russia, China, Philippines, etc.) through Career Medico or similar services. Passing FMGE is mandatory to get a medical license in India.
The exam tests knowledge across all MBBS subjects and has a passing requirement of 50% — there is no ranking, only pass/fail.
