About Mewar University
Mewar University was established by Act No. 4 of 2009 of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and recognised by the UGC under Section 2(f) on 30 March 2009. Its only campus is on NH-48 at Gangrar, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan; the university has no affiliated colleges or off-campus study centres.
The university is accredited with NAAC grade A and is approved by the UGC under Section 12B, which it describes as a first for a private self-financed university in Rajasthan. Programs are approved by AICTE, PCI, BCI and NCTE as applicable, and it is a member of the AIU.
Mewar University runs 13 faculties covering engineering, computer applications, management and commerce, pharmacy, law, agriculture, physiotherapy, sciences, arts and journalism. Students come from 30 Indian states and 27 countries, and final-semester students take a six-month internship with 500+ partner organisations.
Scholarships include merit-based waivers of up to 100%. Fees shown are the 2026-27 package fees per year from the college's Bihar Student Credit Card fee sheet; a ₹3,000 registration fee is extra.
